HOW TO GET TO TRANG

From KRABI TOWN, AO NANG AND AO NAM MAO:

  • Shared minivan or taxi to the boat / pier with other people visiting Laoliang. 

    • Taxi: up to 3 people
    Minivan: up to 11 people
    Cost: between 2000-3500 per vehical baht (taxi being less money)

  • Public Bus to Trang from Phuket/Krabi or Hat Yai

    • Cost: 300-150 baht/pp
    *People from Ko Yao Noi and Ko Phi Phi should begin in Krabi town or Ao Nang.

    From KO LANTA:

  • The Tiger Line ferry boat that operates from Lanta-Lipe. 
    Purchase a ticket to Laoliang Island.
    • Cost: 1200 baht/pp

  • Public Minivan to Trang town. 
    • Cost: 200-250 baht/pp

    From SURAT THANI :

  • Express train to Trang (this train leaves VERY early)
    Cost: 150 baht/pp
  • Public Bus
    Cost: 200-250 baht/pp
  • Public minivan
    Cost: 250-300 baht/pp

    • From Ko Lipe:

  • The Tiger Line ferry boat that operates Lipe-Lanta
    • Cost: 300 baht/pp

    Return to Bangkok from Trang 
    There are 3 options:

    1. Nok Air Flight from Trang to Don Muang at 11:30am and 16:30pm
    2. Overnight train at 13:00 and 17:00
    3. Overnight bus between 16:30-17:00
